Operation Route 66 collection of stories and accounts from U.S. veterans, captured by a father and son traversing US66 on motorcycles. The cinematography is inspired—full of gorgeous, reverent portraits of the American landscape. But mostly, Operation Route 66 is about stories, told by the soldiers that lived them. It's difficult to hear the details of their experiences, and—for most of us—impossible to truly fathom them. But the movie simply asks us to listen.It’s important to hear these people talk candidly about what happened to them over there, and what their lives are like back home. I was lucky enough to be asked to create original music for Operation Route 66. And I’m grateful to have been able to contribute to a project that strives for empathy. To make a human connection by the sheer act of reaching across an unbridgeable divide.
